Smith-Petersen Osteotome

This osteotome features a smooth barrel shaped handle that is easy to grip. Additionally it features a wide, flat handle end that can be struck with a hammer or mallet to drive the chisel shaped end with increased force. This instrument can be used to cut, scrape or shave bone to increase access to the surgical field or simply for reshaping. This osteotome is available seven sizes ranging from 6.0 mm to 32.0 mm and in either a straight or curved profile making it useful in a wide range of surgical procedures including craniotomies.

This hook features a medium sized handle suitable for gripping and maneuvering from which extends a narrower neck piece that ends in a rounded hook. This instrument is available in two different lengths 6 Ā¾" and 8 Ā¼" making it suitable for a variety of different patients and able to satisfy any surgeon preference.

This instrument is double ended and on one end features a nerve hook and on the other a dissector. The nerve hook end features a slightly acute turn that can be used to retract nerves or other delicate tissue during surgery. Additionally the opposing end is equipped with a blunt dissector that can be used in general exploration without causing injury or bruising to surrounding delicate tissue areas.

Senn Retractor is a double-ended instrument that is generally used in procedures such as orthopedic surgeries. One end of the retractor has three prongs that are available in sharp or blunt points. These prongs may help to spread an incision in order to provide increased visibility on the body part that is being operated. The other end of the retractor contains an L-shaped prong that typically functions as a handle or can also be useful for small incisions.
