Smith-Petersen Gouge
8″ (20.0 cm) Smith Peterson Gouge is crafted for use in surgical procedures that require manipulation of bone such as scooping or creating a hole. U.S. Army Pattern Gouges

This gouge is designed similarly to a chisel but the blade portion features a curvature to it allowing it to be used to scoop up segments.
